Hey friends!
As some of you may already know, I’m leaving D.C. in two weeks to continue to pursue my professional career in the Digital Media world. This is going to be an amazing ride for me since I have lived in the DMV for all my life. I’m well traveled, but I haven’t lived anywhere else unfortunately. I’ve been freelancing in New York City for the last 6 years and making annual visits for the last 10. Through much patience, hard work and the ability to communicate who I am and what I do, I’ve landed a job in midtown Manhattan working for a company that creates apps for facebook. I will be doing front end web development for their custom built CMS, so that means I’m going to be getting my hands dirty in some serious CSS. Along the way I’ll be able to learn more about how brands connect with their customers and fans. I’ll be amongst developers and designers who I can bounce knowledge with and this will help me go even further.
Aside from all that I will be leaving many friends and some of my family back here (twin and mom), but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving my friendships behind. I’ve been so happy to have everyone of you in my life. Each and everyone of you I’ve met have had some sort of influence, support or opportunity for me in our friendship. I love all of you, but I must move on. Thanks for taking the time to read this and there will be a little celebration coming up very shortly.
